Who is
Esther Ras
I know better than anyone how addiction can rage within your life. During my search for ways to cope, both in my relationship with my ex-partner and before and after my son's hospitalization, I discovered that there is hardly any support for the family of addicts. That had to change.
In my work as a Family Counselor, I work with several clinics, I am also called in directly by families. The same is true for businesses. I have extensive experience in counseling parents, partners and other loved ones before, during and after the treatment process of an addict.
Because I know better than anyone else what family members or friends go through, I know that the situation can be pretty complicated and painful. It is so important to include parents and partners in the process because the family members are right So important to the addict's recovery! It increases the likelihood of long-term recovery. So that way family members can really help their addicted family member! Code Red offers the help I was missing.

CODE RED
Attention and care for families and
loved ones
Having a family member with an addiction can be very stressful, exhausting and especially very painful for all members and for many loved ones. The main focus is on the loved one with addiction.
Loved ones often feel powerless, sad and angry in such a situation. They have done everything they can to help and save their loved one addict. They have tried everything and nothing changes. Or worse, the situation continues to worsen. With all its consequences. At the same time, loved ones have to take care of themselves and their families. Not an easy task.
No help
Help for family problems regarding addiction is hardly there. There is no counter for them. Some addiction clinics do offer loved ones programs and liaison days, but care for family and loved ones is still relatively in its infancy.
Code Red family counseling
Offering a family and loved ones program specifically for those who have an addict in their midst. That's what Code Red family counseling does. For families, loved ones, colleagues. When family members and loved ones are included in the addict's recovery process, it significantly increases the likelihood of good outcomes. By learning more and better about what the disease of addiction entails, it positively affects the addict in the recovery process. It even increases the chances of success, this has been scientifically proven.

Code Red for businesses
Every business in our country employs people who suffer from addiction, their neighbor who struggles with addiction, or a co-worker who is an addict. As an employer, how do you support the addict toward recovery and how can you offer support to a loved one of an addict. By providing education about what addiction is and how to deal with it, you can assist employees so that there is less absenteeism and downtime within the company.
Code Red for businesses
Education is often still ignorant about what addiction is and how to deal with it. The goal is to break the taboo and stigma by providing good education. This creates more knowledge and understanding. The distinguishing factor here is that Code Red approaches this from the side of the family and loved ones, this is a very distinctive proposition.
